Dr Devindra Sood - One of the Best Glaucoma Specialists in Gurgaon, Delhi NCR 

Dr Devindra Sood, a former President of the Glaucoma Society of India, has over 25 years of rich clinical expertise in treating Glaucoma in adults and children.

 

A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr Devindra Sood completed his medical and postgraduate training in ophthalmology from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, Fellowship in General Ophthalmology from Aravind Eye Hospital & Postgraduate Institute of Ophthalmology, Madurai (1995-96) and a Glaucoma Fellowship from L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad in 1996-97. He then completed a Clinical Fellowship in Glaucoma from the Glaucoma Imaging Centre, New Delhi (1997-2000).

 

Dr Devindra Sood has published several research papers on Glaucoma, has delivered several lectures and has been awarded by multiple Ophthalmological Societies

• A monograph ‘Advances in the Management of Primary and Adult Glaucomas’ for the All India Ophthalmological Society 

• Awarded the A C Agarwal Trophy for the Best Free Paper “Long term outcome of glaucoma combined procedures” by the Delhi Ophthalmological Society in 1998

• Awarded the A C Agarwal Trophy for the Best Free Paper ‘Drug Induced Secondary Angle Closure Glaucoma’ by the Delhi Ophthalmological Society in 1999

• Was conferred ‘Distinguished Resource Teacher’ by the Delhi Ophthalmological Society in 2003

• Was awarded UKSOS Gold Medal for ‘Excellence in Ophthalmology’ by the Uttarakhand State Ophthalmological Society in 2013.

• Delivered the Major S C Dutt Memorial Oration, ‘Practical Implications of Ongoing Research in Angle Closure Glaucoma: India First’ in 2010 by the West Bengal Ophthalmological Society

• Delivered the Dr Mohan Lal Oration ‘Optic Discs in a Glaucoma Practice – The mistakes often made’ in 2017 by the Aligarh Ophthalmological Society

• Delivered the Prof. A N Pandeya Oration in 2020  ‘Aequanimitas in a Glaucoma Practice in India’ by the Bihar Ophthalmological Society
